MEDIAPRINT KOLE IDROMENO THE FOUNDER OF ALBANIAN REALIST ART

Kolë Idromeno started his creativity, when all Albanians were turning their eyes to humanism, as a historical awareness to restore ties with the culture of the ancestors, that culture which the Ottoman occupation had almost annihilated. His creativity marks the first independent attempt of an individual, who used visual art to revive in the consciousness of his compatriots the love for the culture of the Albanian ethnicity, different from the culture of other ethnicities.
