Shee was born in Adana, Turkey and spent her childhood in Gjirokastër, the fabulous city that seemed to him to fly. She is the first Albanian writer, who was appreciated from the beginning for her high-level art. In her literary and journalistic writings, she focused on the traditional Albanian woman and revealed the need for the emancipation of girls. She was a declared democratic, anti-fascist and anti-communist intellectual, who believed in freedom of thought and freedom of art. During the war, he founded the Social-Democratic Party with other intellectuals. After liberation, he fought politically for the protection of democratic freedoms and political pluralism. For this reason, the communist regime imprisoned him at the age of 27. She experienced unimaginable torture in the prisons of the dictatorship for 16 years and then, in exile, worked in construction, amid hardship, persecution, loneliness and State Security surveillance. However, he did not stop working on folklore collection, ethnographic, linguistic studies, etc. To the end, she remained steadfast and faithful to her art and the social democratic ideal.
