Born in Skopje, Mother Teresa of Calcutta spent most of her life in India, caring for the poor and sick in this overpopulated country. Although of small stature, that woman embodied the highest values that represent the human being, such as: generosity, solidarity, respect for the faith of others, joy and hope; and to these she added her self-confidence, which gave her the courage and strength necessary to carry out one of the most dignified and admirable social works of the century. XX. Against her will, in 1979 she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize and in October 2003 she was beatified by His Holiness, Pope John Paul II.
