Albas Gandhi

He was born in Probandar, a small town in Western India. He was a man of elegant appearance and dressed quite simply: he was wrapped only in a white cloth. Later everyone would call him Mahatma (Exalted Soul), because Gandhi dedicated his whole life to the ideal of convincing and showing people that violence is the worst form of fighting for equality between the occupiers and the the oppressed, between the rich and the poor. By living a simple and exemplary life, as the best model for others and by transforming the word into his best weapon, he contributed not only to the improvement of the condition of the less privileged or discriminated people, but played a crucial role in achieving India's independence. Unfortunately, paradoxically, one of the world's greatest pacifists was murdered by a religious fanatic.
