Albas Marco Polo

Marco Polo came from a Venetian family. He took a dizzying trip to China when he was just seventeen years old. For the same number of years he remained in the service of the Great Khan and lived at the peak of the Mongolian Dynasty's prosperity. During this period, he managed to learn about the organization of that unique country, the colossal public works, the postal system, the use of paper money and the work of silk. After returning to his homeland, from the prison where he was accidentally imprisoned, Marco Polo was able to tell us his fantastic experience collected in the Book of Wonders of the World. He is considered one of the greatest travelers of the Middle Ages, as well as the one who "discovered" China before the Westerners.
